Take "The Safe Trail User" PledgeRecently OTC studied trail risk management, attended the Orangeville Horse Meeting and have had an ongoing confrontation with activity groups about their perception of our work towards collaboration between activities.

This, in fact, has been one of the core issues OTC has been tasked to deal with since its inception. In support, we are asking user groups and individuals to take -

The Ontario Trails Safe Trail User Pledge.

Prescott-Russell Feedback

TAKE OUR TRAILS SURVEY - ENG
TAKE OUR TRAILS SURVEY  - FR

We have just been from Montreal to Ottawa using this trail (Prescott and Russell Recreational Trail) from 31 Aug to 1 Sep 2017 using touring bikes (tires 28C).

Starting at St-Eugene ( but not before) it has the same quality as Petit Train du Nord all the way to Ottawa.

Over the 2 days, we met only 2 cyclists. Quiet and safe, although the small gravel reduced our speed by 10%.

We slept in Motel Rouleau of Alfred (65$) where people were friendly and bilingual. We are thinking to use it again for a trip MTL-Ottawa-Kingston-MTL.

We had difficulty to find the link with the Ottawa bike trails at the end. Loved it and recommend it.

(We have invited the PTBA, Prescott-Russell and the City of Ottawa, the NCC, Ottawa Cyclist Groups, the RDD and Tourism Ottawa to join us at Trailhead Canada to discuss making these Ottawa linkages happen)
